Karlynn Keyes’ personal story is a timely and inspiring example for women who are recognizing that our economy has changed forever and that women must reinvent themselves to thrive in the business world.
Originally from Minnesota, Karlynn grew up in an entrepreneurial family that developed and invested in a variety of exceptional businesses. She studied art and architecture in the United States and Europe and graduated from the American College in London. She settled in Arizona and began a career in commercial real estate development, creating artistic brands for destination commercial projects that combined regional architecture and a compelling mix of artful businesses. It was her intention, when she married, to strike a balance between her career and motherhood, but the reality was far different than she imagined. Sixteen years later, she found herself divorced, a single mother raising two teenage children and confronting the daunting challenge of a changed workplace.
Through sheer determination and creative passion, Karlynn developed a career in the arts and today is the president of a multi-million dollar gift and collectible company in a highly competitive industry. She shares how she managed to “rebrand” herself, rediscovering a sense of purpose and realizing her potential as a professional woman. The trailblazing techniques she pioneered in the process of transforming a small philanthropic public art project into a $100 million phenomenon in the arts and collectible industry is a tale for these times.
Speaking with a voice of experience, Karlynn Keyes shares her passion for business with women, inspiring them to become entrepreneurs. She believes that the world needs more creative women in business. She also believes that brands need to be more compassionate, giving back to their community, the nation and the world. Every woman is invited to discover “the art of business” from a maverick who has become a trailblazer in an extremely challenging industry.
Karlynn Keyes’ skills as an effective communicator and smarts as a successful businesswoman, along with her proven ability to bring artistic brands to the marketplace, uniquely qualify her as a fresh voice with important things to say to women preparing for a future in any type of creative business.
